Patrick Street

What can be said about Patrick Street except that they are some of the "best of the best" in Irish traditional music. It started as a grand project to bring four "masters" together for a single tour, but that was over twenty years, many tours and ten albums ago.

Patrick Street recorded eight albums and the compilation - "Compendium" for Green Linnet Records in Connecticut, USA. With the demise of that label, they were sold on and are now available through Compass Records.

The latest - "On the Fly" is released on Kevin Burke's label "Loftus Music" in Portland, Oregon.

The band members for the first two CDs are Andy Irvine, Kevin Burke, Jackie Daly and Arty McGlynn. On "Irish Times", Arty appears on four tracks, Gerry O'Beirne (guitar) on seven and Jackie on five. James Kelly (fiddle) and Declan Masterson (uillean pipes & tin whistle) appear on three each and Bill Whelan on "Forgotten Hero".
